Good rabbit poem. There are not enough of them. I wrote one myself inspired by when you and Dick and I were at the Lake of the Woods island. I will read it to you sometime(when I think you are in a good mood).

" my senses were no longer the sharp and disciplined soldiers I had trained endlessly in my youth'
I love that line and like all good lines it has to be true.

The black angel was following me.
Ask her to stop, I said again, and then again,
hopping some one was listening.

Then a rush of wings
and strange red light
searing my corpus collosum.

The angel entered me
and stole something precious .
I don't think she is coming back.

Quick reactions,

Wow!

I have never seen Santa Fe so green but the clouds to the left of the painting have lips that smile and kiss and they must have dropped some rain. Grace!

the Poseidon Dream seems a beautiful promise that seems to fade these days but here it's mystery, riding the waves in triumph.

Glorious!

They are both delicious and I look forward to seeing them up close, in person.

I love that painting is "a life within a llife" and I would say; like music and cooking to the meastros of those realms. I love that painting allows you to connect your senses with bigger questions, to express and intuit and
how your paintings allow us, the witnesses, to connect our senses to bigger questions, to express and intuit as well!

Please tell the maestro the next time he visits that I appreciate his thoughts immensely and the inspired paintings even more.

What a strange metaphor....binoculars and a bullhorn. Is it not the goal to make viewers part of the painting, not distant?

Social networking ala Facebook and handheld devices ala iPhone are truly changing the world. Can we hold hands "virtually" and weep? Does more virtual contact (knowing) fill the void of physical touch? We are in a world of new relationships. Is knowing as important as touching? Does knowing make the touching, when it occurs, deeper and in need of less explanation? I am just starting to feel the effects of this new world. How much leads to intimacy and how much to isolation?

Is virtual contact like using "binoculars" to view across the river? And the "bullhorn" our attempt to reach back?

You got me thinking. Thank you.
